Hörnebo mine

We went out and did a bit of caving in the Hörnebo mines (old slate mines from 1850). The scenery was beautiful. Isak loved walking through the long and very dark tunnel the best. Lia was quiet for once....hence, we think that she also enjoyed it. These caves are located in the heart of Småland where no road is straight for more than 20 metres and you can't see the woods from all of the trees.

To Ukraine

It is on the national federation's website, so it must be offical now. Being 35 years young, Hans might be one of the oldest debutants at a WOC ever.

Flying and Running

Isak's cousin Sara had to work hard today; Isak didn't let her rest for long until she was asked, sorry told, to give him another ride.

All this while Meja took it easy in the shade.

Isak looks almost as proud as his pappa after his two kilometer run to Kullabackarna (Kulla hills) and back. And, of course, you need the proper clothing when going for a run.

Midsummer fest just a wee bit rainy

Isak didn't mind the rain at all...more puddles to play and dance in. We ate lots of herring and enjoyed a few drinks to celebrate the beginning of summer, somewhere I am sure it is sunny:)

Happy Midsummer!

We thought that the Swedes' favourite day, Midsummer Eve, would be an appropriate day to launch our own blog. We are not going to promise to update this on a daily basis, because we won't. We will be too busy doing things. Or stuff as Isak would put it.

We will post in both English and Swedish, probably pending on where we are.

As for today, enjoy some pictures of our own Midsummer children and our own Midsummer pole.
